Biodegradable, eco-friendly funeral flowers
At Rambling Stems, we create beautiful, sustainable funeral flowers created with care — for your loved one, and for the planet.
Our eco-friendly floral tributes honour life, love, and memory using ethically sourced blooms and non-plastic, foam-free designs.
Thoughtful Farewells.
Gentle on the Earth.
“I love creating beautifully organic, biodegradable floral tributes for your loved ones; the more unique and individual they are, the better”
We believe that saying goodbye should be as gentle as the life it honours.
Our funeral flowers are handcrafted using seasonal, locally sourced blooms and natural materials. Every arrangement is designed to reflect love, respect, and environmental responsibility — without compromising on beauty.
No floral foam. No plastic. No wasteful packaging.
Just honest flowers, thoughtfully arranged.
Flowers with Meaning. Arranged with Purpose
It’s always such an honour and privilege to create beautiful, sustainable and seasonal florals for funerals. As with all of our flowers, we use biodegradable materials, so that no waste, toxins or plastic pollution is left behind in the environment.
Funeral designs are very personal, and I will listen to your requirements, offer suggestions where I can and would love to hear about your loved one, for personal and bespoke touches. For more details click here

Supporting local
“Working with flowers and with nature is in my heart and soul. After over 25 years as an award-winning RHS Chelsea Flower Show Garden Designer, and with a passion and knowledge for plants, flowers and our natural environment, I naturally swayed into floral design and love working with natural materials.
If sustainability is as important to you, as it is to me, then you will want to choose foam-free florals to say your goodbyes.
Floral foam is unfortunately still widely used within our industry, however, once I’d discovered how harmful it was to me as a florist, and to the environment, I found alternative ways to keep my flowers fresh, hydrated and looking beautiful for special tributes.
I have made a commitment to be completely foam-free for all my designs”
Sustainability at our Core
Kind to the Earth. Respectful to Life.
Spreading the word about eco-friendly floristry techniques is important to me. Unfortunately, the mainstream colleges are still teaching our new, up-and-coming florists how to design with floral foam. It’s sometimes difficult to ‘unlearn’ these methods and think differently, so I’m keen to offer any advice and practical help I can.
I offer 1:1 training sessions here in my home studio in Ampthill, Bedfordshire. Workshops are tailored to individual needs and can include eco alternatives; using moss and Agrawool, creating urns and larger designs, creating installations, funeral designs and working with British flowers and flower farms.
