1. Choose your Colour Palette:

  • If you love the classic whites, paired with fresh greens – this one is for you. Simple whites and greens are still full of textural contrast – with our Rambling Stems signature style, it could never be classed as ‘boring’. Depending on your wedding date (and therefore the flower season) we will choose a selection of seasonal beautiful blooms and foliage’s that give depth, movement, textural contrast and all the airy and wispy ‘bounce’ that you would expect from a Rambling Stems design. Full of individuality, packed with flower variety. Possible to create all year round, with different types of ingredients.

Depending on the season, flowers could include a wide and varied mix of; white roses, ranunculus, spray roses, scabious, phlox, double tulips, anemone, cosmos, nigella, stocks, wax flower, dahlia, sweet peas, astilbe, jasmine, eustoma, viburnum, achillea.

  • All the delicious pastels blended together seamlessly to create a fresh, scrummy summer meadow sorbet. If you love an eclectic, natural look – with a blend of pastel hues, this one is for you! Pale pinks, pale blues, lemons, whites, mauves, apricots….. this collection is most suited in style to weddings from April-Aug. Don’t worry about ‘matching’ bridesmaids dresses or colour schemes, this is a soft look that works with just about any dress colour choice, from pink, champagne to pale blues or lemons.

Mostly summer British florals create the best effect. Flowers could include a wide and varied mix of; cosmos, roses, delphinium, antirrhinum, nigella, phlox, scabious, ranunculus, astilbe, gypsophilia, sweet peas, jasmine, verbena, foxgloves, clary sage, achillea, statice, salvia, flowering mint

  • This colour palette gives a cosy warmth, even on the coldest of days – but is not just for the winter months! We can create a berry burgundy look pretty much all year round, with different ingredients to choose from in all seasons. Sumptuous roses work well of course, and the beautifully jewel-coloured, rich dahlias are just perfect (late summer into Autumn) but a deep burgundy scabious, hellebore or ranunculus can work just as well in spring and summer months too! As always, we will choose the perfect seasonal selection for you, and create our Rambling Stems Signature style designs, to work perfectly together within this look.

Depending on your wedding season, flowers could include a wide and varied mix of roses, spray roses, hellebores, scabious, dahlia, wax flower, ranunculus, Eustoma, double tulips, anemone, viburnum berries, wax flower, eryngium thistle, hypericum berries, cosmos, astilbe, amaranthus

  • One of the most popular colour palettes, in all seasons – a hint of nude/blush mixed in with the palest of pink, and creamy whites. A neutral palette that blends seamlessly with any bridesmaid dress colour and works for so many different venues. This blush/nude palette works best in my opinion, with added textural layers and by mixing up different types of foliage. Focal blooms may take centre stage, but they must be accompanied by the light, airy wispy delicates! This look can be created with many different seasonal ingredients, and we will select them for you, depending on the time of year of your wedding day.

Depending on the season, flowers could include a wide and varied mix of nude, pale apricot and palest pink roses, dahlia, Eustoma, ranunculus, Astrantia and a mix of creams and whites from flowers such as spray roses, double tulips, anemone, cosmos, nigella, stocks, wax flower, sweet peas, astilbe, achillea – in summer months I love to include jasmine and honeysuckle trails in particular

Ali, Rambling Stems
I love working with nature and creating a slightly ‘wild’ but very elegant display. The beauty is often in the simplicity!

Open, friendly and trustworthy – building relationships with my wedding clients is very important to me

I love getting excited about your special day and developing a friendly, open relationship with all my clients based on mutual trust and respect. It’s the only way to work.

I’ll advise you on how to get the most from your budget to give the greatest impact. I’ll often incorporate little extra bespoke touches – such as noting what is growing outside the venue, using some snippets from branches, or reflecting the colour harmony and seasonal displays in the local environment.

I often incorporate everything from seedpods to buds, catkins, twisted stems and dried grass heads. It’s important to me that your florals are ‘grounded’ in the environment that they sit within. That’s what gives Rambling Stems’ florals their uniqueness.
